Hemp

Hemp is a botanical class of cannabis sativa, a cousin of the marijuana plant. The primary distinction between hemp & marijuana is that hemp contains <0.3% THC. Meaning hemp-derived products don't possess enough THC to get you that high normally associated with cannabis.

Pines hemp is started in our greenhouses & then carefully transferred to the outdoor soil. All Pines hemp is comprised of industry leading genetics that are rich in CBD (cannabidiol).

CBD

Research has found that there are between 80 & 100 primary cannabinoids in the cannabis plant. CBD is one of the two most prevalent cannabinoids (THC being the other).

In 2018, the Farm Bill made hemp legal in the United States with each state having the autonomy to individually regulate the hemp industry. CBD is legal in most state providing easy access to experience its many benefits.

Benefits

CBD has been touted to treat a wide variety of health issues, but the only FDA approved drug is Epidiolex. Which is used to treat two types of epilepsy. Aside from Epidiolex, there's no other health issues companies can claim CBD alone can treat.

However, there has been a significant amount of research with promising results suggesting CBD can "potentially" treat the following conditions:

  • Epilepsy

  • Anxiety/Depression

  • PTSD

  • Pain/Inflammation
